What is the cosplay props policy?

Simulated or costume weapons are allowed as part of your costume as long as they are in compliance with the following rules: No projectile weapons (including but not limited to airsoft or paintball weapons) will be allowed!
Weapons with a metal blade, regardless if it is dull or sharp, are prohibited!
Prop weapons should be made of lightweight materials such as foam, cardboard, or plastic.
All prop firearms must have an orange cap on the barrel.
Weapons which are capable of firing (Nerf guns, bows, etc) must be rendered inoperable. Projectiles are forbidden.
Do not brandish weapons or props in a threatening manner. Be aware of how security personnel may interpret your actions.
Do not bring real swords, guns, or any type of authentic weapon to the show – only props are allowed!

What is the AI-generated Art policy?

Effective immediately and going forward “AI-generated Art” shall not be sold at our event as we do respect the rights of original art creators.
If this rule is broken, you will be removed from the event and you will forfeit all fees paid for your exhibitor space. No refunds will be offered to exhibitors removed from the event.
Mid Valley Comic Art Expo will continue to support original art and the creators of original art. We will be prohibiting the sale of AI-generated artwork created using sourced content that the seller does not hold legal rights to at all our events.
SELLING OF AI-GENERATED ART, BOOTLEG PRODUCT, AND/OR STOLEN ART IS PROHIBITED!
Violators will be banned from all future events produced by Lahar Promotions.

What are the event COVID-19 Protection Protocols?

We are following Oregon guidelines as they are updated:

Masks are not required for most indoor settings, but you still need to wear a mask in health care settings to keep everyone safe. Some businesses and schools may still choose to require masks.
People may also choose to continue to wear well-fitting masks to protect themselves and others.
We are working to create the safest experience possible for all attendees, exhibitors, and guests.
Please understand there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in visiting any public place where there are people.
Masks are personal choice at our event per Oregon guidelines.
